3 people arrested on endangering charge following fatal dog attack near North Little Rock | Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
Three people were arrested Tuesday on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor following the dog attack that killed a 2-year-old girl in March near North Little Rock, the Pulaski County sheriff's office said Tuesday. Earnest Jackson, 54, Christina Hart, 41 and Makayla Jackson, 21, were arrested on the felony charge as a result of the investiation into the attack that killed Celeste Jackson, sheriff's office spokeswoman Kristin Knox said. All three were being held in the county jail without bond Tuesday evening. Knox said she did not know details of the relationship between the girl and the suspects. A dog believed to be involved in the attack is in the custody of the Pulaski County Animal Control Division, the release says. Around 6:25 p.m. on March 28, deputies responded to the 6808 Norman Road in relation to an unresponsive child, a case report for the incident says. Sheriff's deputies found two people standing near a tan van crying, the report says. The individuals, who are not named in the report, were told repeatedly to stand back as they tried to observe what was happening, the report says.
