President Donald Trump announced his administration will refund $500 million to people who were allegedly overcharged through the Affordable Care Act.

More than 950,000 people will get a Treasury Department check and a letter signed by the president, according to an administration official.
"For years, the Biden administration overcharged you to fund the operation of HealthCare.gov," Trump says in the letter, which was viewed by USA TODAY. "That money belongs to hard-working Americans, not the Government, and now I'm returning it to you!"
Trump announced the $500 Obamacare refund checks on Sept. 10 in a video posted by the White House. The timing coincided with the Republican midterm convention in Dallas.
"You have paid into this flawed System, and now you are finally getting something back," Trump says in the letter.
The 30 states where some Americans will get refund checks don't operate their own ACA insurance plan exchanges. They rely on federal exchanges...
