Arkansas basketball 2026 preseason exhibition date with Memphis announced | Arkansas Democrat Gazette
FAYETTEVILLE -- The Arkansas men's basketball team will host Memphis in an exhibition on Oct. 28 at Bud Walton Arena, according to the Tigers' schedule release Monday. Arkansas coach John Calipari previously announced the preseason matchup but did not provide a date. Calipari has also said the Razorbacks will play a home exhibition game against Gonzaga, with a date yet to be announced. Calipari said last month the Razorbacks would play at Kansas in an exhibition, but that will not be played. The Jayhawks already have exhibitions scheduled against Pittsburg State, Louisville and Duke, and the NCAA allows teams to play up to three preseason games. This is the second year in a row the Razorbacks will play Memphis in an exhibition. Arkansas won 99-75 at FedEx Forum in Memphis last October. The Tigers are entering their ninth year under coach Penny Hardaway and finished 13-19 last season and missed the postseason. Memphis retained William Whorton and Julius Thedford from last season's roster and reloaded through the portal.
