HARRISON, Ark. -- A Boone County, Arkansas, business owner has been charged after police performed a search warrant in June, finding illegal gambling machines. According to online court dockets, Sarah Hacker, 62, of Harrison, Arkansas, has been charged with a class D felony of keeping a gambling house. The woman has been charged with misdemeanors of keeping a gambling house, being interested in a gaming device and gambling in a house. Previous Ozarks First coverage mentions two incidents of Harrison police executing search warrants on the Internet Cafe and Sweepstakes at 123 Industrial Park Road, with Hacker reported as the owner. A probable cause affidavit says law enforcement began investigating the case on April 1, when a man was seen leaving the business. Authorities made a traffic stop on the person for defective equipment, with him providing a valid search waiver. During a search of his vehicle, police noted finding $620 in cash, with the man explaining he picked up winnings for a woman who had won playing the gambling machines.
