Arkansas falls to No. 11 in latest ESPN/USA Softball poll | Whole Hog Sports
FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas fell three spots to No. 11 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll released Tuesday. The Razorbacks (4-1) won four of five games at the Kickin' Chicken Classic over the weekend in South Carolina. All their victories were by run-rule by a combined 58-6 score. Arkansas' lone loss was a 4-2 decision against Virginia in a rematch Saturday. The Cavaliers were new to the poll this week, entering at No. 25. The Razorbacks are scheduled to play five games this weekend at the States Up Invitational in San Marcos, Texas. They will face No. 18 Clemson twice and BYU and host Texas State once. There are 11 SEC teams in this week's poll. Ranked teams from the conference are Texas (No. 2), Tennessee (3), Oklahoma (4), Florida (5), Texas A&M (T-8), LSU (10), Arkansas (11), Alabama (13), Georgia (17), South Carolina (20) and Mississippi State (21). The conference leads the way in the number of ranked teams, followed by the ACC (4), Big Ten (4) and Big 12 (4).
