TITLE: Arkansas woman goes to D.C. to praise Trump for being a friend to Black people - Arkansas Times TEXT: The Washington Post shouted Arnetta Bradford of Hope this week in a piece about President Donald Trump's Black History Month celebration at the White House. If Bradford's name sounds familiar, it's because she was Gov. Sarah Sanders' pick to fill a South Arkansas state representative seat in a race that got really heated, and really weird. Ultimately, Dolly Henley beat Bradford in the Republican primary and claimed the win, since there was no Democratic challenger. Henley's victory came despite Bradford having Sanders' endorsement and money behind her, and despite a flurry of mysterious mailers arriving from out of state that accused Henley of secretly being a Democrat. That 2024 defeat clearly hasn't dissuaded Bradford from leaning in on Republican politics. She reportedly praised the Trump administration for the no tax on tips provision of the One Big Beautiful Bill, a change that she said helped her expand her coffee shop.
