David Eugene Harris, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, died Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 21, 1952, in Bakersfield, California, to the late John H. Harris and Geneva M. (Stamper) Harris. He was 73 years old. For many years, David worked in the oilfield industry and was a truck driver. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17th at the Island Cemetery, located east of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kyle Horton. He is survived by two brothers, Johnny Harris and Roger Harris, and nieces and nephews.
