Week 1 of the 2026 college football season offers a perfect opportunity to embrace Quadbox Life. Translation: We don't have a spectacular slate. We get only one ranked-versus-ranked battle, and it's on Sunday night. Even Saturday night's Clemson-LSU matchup was dampened by Clemson's 2025 collapse.
Here's a little secret, though: We don't need big games in Week 1! We're excited to have the sport back regardless, and for me, the best thing about Week 1 is the full information overload.
