The Oregonian/OregonLive is offering an early position-by-position preview of what the 2026 Oregon Ducks' depth chart could look like.
Departed transfers: Tobi Haastrup (West Virginia) and Blake Purchase (Ole Miss).
New faces: Transfer Bleu Dantzler, So. (Oregon State). Freshmen Anthony Jones, Prince Tavizon and Dutch Horisk.
Returners: Teitum Tuioti, Sr., Matayo Uiagalelei, Sr., Nasir Wyatt So., Elijah Rushing, RSo., Torrence Wiliams, Jr.
Projected depth chart: Tuioti and Uiagalelei should start. Wyatt and Rushing could be the main backups. Dantzler could also be in the mix, along with Jones.
Grade: A.
Analysis: The return of Tuioti and Uiagalelei, along with both starting defensive tackles, gives the Ducks one of the best defensive lines in the country.
Tuioti finished the 2025 season with 68 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. Uiagalelei had 34 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 6 sacks.
Tuioti was named third-team All-Big Ten and Uiagalelei earned honorable mention.
The questions fall behind them on the depth chart. Purchase entering the transfer portal after recording 32 tackles with 4.5 for loss was not ideal. But the Ducks should be fine.
