Big Whiskey's American Restaurant and Bar is planning a location in Trussville. The franchise announced through its Facebook page several new restaurants, including the Jefferson County city. "The Big Whiskey's legend is growing," the post said. "We're excited to announce new franchise agreements as we continue to grow the BW family! Each new market represents an opportunity for us to bring that signature BW hospitality and experience to more guests across the country." Two other restaurants in Missouri were also announced. Big Whiskey's opened an Alabaster location last year. A Hoover location in Stadium Trace Village began serving back in July 2020. The franchise, known for cocktails and spirits, was founded in downtown Springfield, Mo. in 2006 and has locations in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Florida. Its menu features lunch, dinner and brunch options, from salads and soups, to steaks, seafood and Southwestern dishes.
