The Natural State Council of Scouting America said Tuesday (Sept. 29) that it will honor the Hunt family at its 2026 Northwest Arkansas Heart of the Eagle. The luncheon event starts at noon Oct. 13 at Rogers Convention Center.
According to a news release, the annual event recognizes people and families whose leadership and service have made a lasting impact on their communities. The Hunt family has played a significant role in Arkansas through decades of business leadership, philanthropy and community investment.
J.B. and Johnelle Hunt built Lowell-based J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. from a small Arkansas business into one of the largest transportation and logistics companies in North America. As philanthropists, the Hunts have supported healthcare, education, children's services, economic development, and community initiatives across Arkansas.
