SPRINGDALE -- Arguably one of the top 7-on-7 football tournaments in Northwest Arkansas is set to take place Friday morning at Champions Field.
Shiloh Christian is hosting its annual 2026 Southwest Elite Showcase for a one-day event beginning at 9 a.m. It begins with pool play with 14 teams participating, then a single-elimination tournament will be held, with the finals scheduled for 3:45 p.m.
"I love the 7-on-7 as every play matters and is great to see speed as we most certainly will see speed moving into Class 7A," Shiloh Coach Tucker Barnard said. "The importance of every play against the elite competition we are about to face will help us.
"Last season we came up short against Bixby in the championship game but we got better that day and eventually it helped us win the 6A state championship game."
Leading the Saints this season will be senior quarterback Cole Creighton, who led his team to the 6A state championship with a 70-50 victory over Greenwood. As a junior, he threw 44 touchdowns for 4,017 yards.
Barnard said the only thing Creighton has done since leading Shiloh to a state championship is improve.
