Oklahoma named one of the worst states to move to in 2026 by Consumer Affairs

In a new study ranking the best and worst states to move to in the United States, Oklahoma ranks fifth-worst, just behind New Mexico, Louisiana, California, and Arkansas, according to a new report from ConsumerAffairs. The research analyzed data relating to affordability, safety, economic strength, healthcare, education and quality of life to make its ranking. The site used data from the U.S. Census Bureau, BEA, Tax Foundation, FEMA, EPA, Weather Spark, National Park Foundation, National Association of State Park Directors and others to analyze all 50 states and create the ranking.
