Furniture manufacturer James & James plans to establish operations in Heber Springs, Arkansas. The more than $9.4 million project is expected to create 47 jobs. The investment will include the construction of a new facility that will combine the company's direct-to-consumer solid wood furniture manufacturing with a lumber milling operation. InnovAsian Cuisine Enterprises, a subsidiary of Nichirei Foods, will build a frozen food manufacturing facility in Jonesboro, Ark. This development will create approximately 200 new jobs. Found in grocery freezer aisles nationwide, InnovAsian brings popular Asian dishes to the consumers' tables with restaurant-inspired flavors, from multiserve entrees to rice, sides, appetizers and single-serve meals. The new facility will significantly increase production capacity for its high-growth multiserve entree line, supporting the company's continued growth in the US market.
