BATON ROUGE - The frustration in conference play for LSU men's basketball continues as the Tigers fell to No. 21 Arkansas 91-62. LSU is now 2-9 in SEC play. Matt McMahon's team has lost five of their last six games against SEC teams. LSU's last three SEC losses have come by double digits. Marquel Sutton led LSU with 18 points on the evening with six rebounds. On the other end, Darius Acuff Jr.

Auburn's recent SEC struggles continued on Tuesday night. The Tigers fell to Vanderbilt 84-76, their third consecutive conference loss. The Commodores were in control most of the night. Auburn led for just 20 seconds of game time, with its last advantage 19-18 in the first half. Tyler Tanner led the way for Vandy. He had a game-high 25 points, with 19 coming in the second half. Jalen Washington added 22 points. Auburn outscored the Dores 45-42 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 42-31 deficit from the early going.

The No. 13 Texas Tech Red Raiders haven't had the best luck on the court in recent times, falling to an unranked UCF Knights team by eight points and then to the No. 11 Kansas Jayhawks Monday night on a pair of late three-pointers. But now comes the chance for the team to redeem themselves in the form of a road trip against the West Virginia Mountaineers on Sunday at 12:00 PM. The Mountaineers come into the contest just behind the Red Raiders in the conference standings, a 5-4 record in 2026 so far.

Vanderbilt had enough of the sudden losing and did something about it on Saturday afternoon in Starkville. After a 16-0 start to the season was rudely interrupted by a 3-game losing streak in SEC play, including a 25-point beatdown of a loss on Tuesday night at Arkansas, No. 15 Vanderbilt returned to the win column with a vengeance. An unranked Mississippi State took the hit by Vandy on its home floor, as the Bulldogs were overrun by the Commodores in an 88-56 whitewashing that emphatically put an end to that skid.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Rueben Chinyelu scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half and No. 19 Florida beat No. 10 Vanderbilt 98-94 on Saturday. Chinyelu was 5 for 5 from the field and 6 for 6 from the line in the second half as Florida (13-5, 4-1 SEC) overcame a one-point halftime deficit with a 54-49 scoring edge in the second half.
