Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Sommelier Insurance Group, extending its operations in Omaha, Nebraska, US, and boosting expertise across several commercial insurance segments. The value of the transaction was not made public. Sommelier Insurance Group was established in September 2020 by Luper Akough and serves clients in the Omaha area. The business focuses on trucking, home healthcare and contractor cover, and sought a partner to support its next phase of expansion. Akough said: "We reached a point where we wanted to provide our clients with access to more carriers, more support and more resources. As we looked toward the next phase of our growth, we realised we needed a partner with a national platform that could help us scale our specialised offerings. Inszone was the natural fit." After the deal, Sommelier Insurance Group's staff will continue operating with a local base and sector focus, while also using Inszone's carrier relationships and back office infrastructure.
