(Associated Press) The Missouri women's basketball team will return to its home floor today for a matchup with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Tip-off for the Southeastern Conference matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Mizzou Arena (SEC Network). Missouri (12-6, 0-3 SEC) has struggled through its first three conference games, which all have come against teams ranked inside the AP top 10. The Tigers lost 89-71 to No. 2 Texas to open SEC play, then dropped road games at now-No. 6 Kentucky (74-52) and No. 7 Vanderbilt (99-68). Missouri held a 32-29 lead midway through the second quarter Thursday against the Commodores, but Vanderbilt outscored the Tigers 70-36 the rest of the way. Abbey Schreacke scored a team-high 19 points for Missouri in the loss, while Grace Slaughter joined her in double figures with 12. Shannon Dowell did return in the loss after a four-game absence and scored eight points. While today's matchup will not be against a top-10 team, it will not be much easier.
