Arkansas baseball infielder Carter Rutenbar injures nose, passes protocol in win over Oklahoma | Arkansas Democrat Gazette

Arkansas first baseman Carter Rutenbar passed concussion protocol, but the severity of his nose injury was unclear following the Razorbacks' 12-2 victory over Oklahoma on Friday. Rutenbar dove to field a grounder off the bat of Dasan Harris that bounced and bloodied his nose in the second inning. Harris' RBI hit gave the Sooners a 1-0 lead. Rutenbar was tended to on the field by trainer Corey Wood and orthopedic doctor Brad Reeves, who held a towel to his nose, before he was taken out of the game and replaced by fellow freshman Alexander Peck.
