WASHINGTON -- A U.S. Senate panel discussed potential changes to the nation's permitting rules affecting energy and infrastructure projects during a Wednesday hearing, with both Republican and Democratic senators expressing an interest in revising the current process. The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee held its hearing more than a month after the full House of Representatives passed its own permitting measure.
