Derrick Smith is the new managing director for Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. Smith will work with Mitchell Williams' Board of Directors to lead the law firm, which was effective Jan. 1. "I look forward to supporting and serving our talented, dedicated, and diverse collection of professionals as they continue to advance the support of the goals of our incredible clients and contribute to our wonderful communities," Smith said in a news release. He succeeds Jeff Thomas who served as managing director since 2020.
